There are reports that some GOP and Dems are trying to get a vote at least in the House on Obamacare which would force that version at least into the committee conferences on the bill if anything passes in the Senate.
This was not supposed to be happening this week, but there are rumors Pelosi is trying to get it through quickly while opposition is focussing on approaching Congressmen over the break.

What blows my mind is they think they are going to go home to a hero’s welcome. They are going to get slamed! and I am making calls and sending emails.
More people should contact their representatives and senators, about all issues. It’s sad that so few of them can take the time to write a simple letter.
For those who feel strongly about this issue, I’d advise against calling it "Obamacare." Why use a loaded terminology that might turn someone off? If the lawmaker reads that, he might say "this guy is a nut," and ignore whatever point you’re trying to make. Something this important should be discussed rationally, not with name-calling. Refer to it as the proposed reform to the health care system, and explain exactly why you’re against it (or for it, if you are). That will give the legislator a chance to understand exactly what it is that you do or don’t like, and offer improvements to whatever bill is proposed.
