Ok, there is this girl from one of my college classes that sat next to me and we would joke around with each other a lot. I know it sounds cheesy, but I totally have a crush on her and for the last few weeks I have been looking for the right moment to ask her out on a date but since she always had to rush to get to her next class after our class ended, I did not get much of an opportunity to ask.
Since today was our final exam, I may or may not see her around campus again. Is it ok to ask her out by email in this situation since I do not know of any other way to get ahold of her? Or should I wait until next semester and hope to see her around campus (which may or may not happen) and ask then?
I have often read that a guy should never ask a girl out by email, but I wondered if there are cases where it is acceptable.
Furthermore, I got her email address from the People Finder on the school website - is this ok or would it seem weird since she did not give it to me herself.

i think you should go ahead and email her. just dont ask her out right away. arrange a place to meet casually. then ask her out on a real date there.

well i say its okay…..if that is the only contact you have with her…..i would do the same thing and ask her out by email…..how else is she going to know you re interested and if you wanna go out with her…..

If you really want to ask this girl out then you should send her an email and see how she responds,don’t be scared
I suppose you could ask her out via email.. I mean, not as your girlfriend or anything (yet!) but out for a coffee or something? And then you could just take it from there to ask her out properly. If you’re lucky enough to have her phone number, I think you should call her up (it’s cool to say you looked somebody up in the phonebook; maybe this isn’t so for using a people finder to get her email address!)
Here’s a better idea, I’d probably go for this one myself.. Maybe you could organise a little get-together with a few of your mates (including your crush)? You could get her contact details directly, thus improving the likelihood of meeting up with her another time..

You should e-mail her and tell her to meet you somewhere on some day and then you should ask her out. It would be sooooooo cute and she would love it! Girls die for that kinda stuff! I would know being one lol! Don’t ask her out over e-mail, but like I said, e-mail her and tell her to meet you somewherer. And make it somewhere romantic like a park or bridge. Somewhere she’ll remember.
