I’m a newbie to the whole Facebook thing so when I came across the ‘Friend Finder" option and they asked me for my Email address and password I was way apprehensive… I wanted to find out some info before I just hand that over… Do they actually email everyone in my address book? Or do they just cross-reference my contacts with Facebook members? I mean, I have people in there that I would be really embarrassed if Facebook emailed them, lol…
Thanks for the help~

no they dont’ email those other people, they just cross reference those email addresses with anything that might be in their system, and see if there’s a match. if there is, then that means that person has facebook, and it will suggest taht you add that person as a friend. if not, then nothing happens. you can always opt not to do that if you dont trust facebook it’s not a big deal. i personally don’t, either.
hope it helped
no, if you give your email and password, then they are just gonna see if any one of friends are already on facebook or not. They will not email your friends without your permission.
